My Approach

Having a solid foundation is crucial to how I support you. Think of these as lenses I wear that help me make sense of things. Much like actual prescription eyeglasses, my foundational lenses help me bring you and your inner world into focus.

My work with individual clients is rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and nervous system based approaches.

In my work with relationship clients, I am grounded in Attachment Theory and Emotion Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT).

A solid foundation

No matter what brings you here, my focus will always be on helping you build a more flexible relationship with your thoughts, emotions, and with other people, while also tending to the nervous system patterns that shape how you feel, connect, and respond to others and the world.

In relationship work, this often means slowing things down, identifying patterns you get stuck in together, and helping you build safer, more responsive (and less reactive) ways of connecting—especially during moments of conflict or disconnection.

What this means in practice

My toolkit & approach

My toolkit includes other theories such as:

  • Parts-based modalities like IFS,

  • Person-Centered (Rogerian) therapy,

  • Relational-Cultural therapy,

  • Somatic and Experiential therapies,

  • Narrative therapy,

  • Emotion-Focused therapies

and other evidence-based approaches including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and more.

I use the theories in my toolkit thoughtfully and collaboratively based on what feels most supportive for you. Much like a whisk wouldn’t be your tool of choice when tasked with hanging a picture on the wall, not every theory is going to be well-suited for the work we’re doing together!

Let’s be real. This info is both important and, perhaps, a little boring. I’ve done my best to keep it short and sweet.

Credentials & training

I also believe in doing my own work

I know firsthand what it feels like to sit in the client’s chair and have your raw, tender, messy humanness witnessed and held. You won’t be judged or rushed through these moments, we’ll give them the time, space, and tenderness they deserve.

Healing begins when your story is witnessed— fully and without judgment.
